Aluminum Fabrication Engineering Artisan

AluBuild Construction (Pvt) Ltd is seeking an Aluminum Fabrication Engineering Artisan to join its Aluminium Fitting Department. The successful candidate will work independently and remotely, fabricating and assembling aluminium products such as doors, windows, and shower cubicles.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and system manuals to determine dimensions and specifications, and calculate materials for doors, windows, partitions and showers.
• Set up and operate workshop tools including mitre saws, drilling machines, power screwdrivers, punch tools, copy routers, pillar drills, and crimping machines.
• Measure, cut, bend, and shape aluminium profiles to fabricate doors, windows, shower cubicles, and balustrades.
• Hang, bead, and gasket aluminium frames for doors, windows, and facades, and install aluminium frames for doors, windows, partitions and showers.
• Inspect finished items to ensure they meet exact tolerances, safety guidelines, and production schedules.
• Maintain organisation, teamwork, and effective communication with clients, subordinates, and the board of the firm.
• Apply awareness and technical/mechanical knowledge to work safely around machinery.
• Manage time effectively to meet project targets and deadlines.
• Apply creativity and problem-solving skills to address fabrication challenges.
• Experience in balustrade installation is a major advantage.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of a college diploma in fabrication engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in light metal fabrication or aluminium glazing.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and metal cutting/machining equipment.
• Familiarity with specific architectural aluminium systems.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and operate industrial machinery safely.
• Adherence to workshop health and safety regulations.

Preferred Attributes

• Passion and enthusiasm for aluminium and glass fabrication.
• Ability to work independently without supervision, and to lead and inspire a team of fellow engineers.
• Experience in balustrade installation, considered a major advantage.
• College diploma or above in fabrication engineering.
• A valid driver's licence is an additional advantage.
