Area Sales Manager – Northern & Luapula

Position Overview

The successful candidate will drive sales growth, portfolio quality and operational consistency for the Civil Servant Product across Northern and Luapula provinces by executing company strategy, coaching branch leadership and removing operational barriers that impact performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive regional disbursement and portfolio growth targets.
• Translate national sales strategy into branch execution plans.
• Recruit, coach and develop Branch Coordinators.
• Coordinate with Credit, Finance, HR and Collections on escalations.
• Build succession pipelines and mentor emerging leaders.
• Identify growth opportunities across Northern and Luapula.
• Monitor branch KPIs, productivity, conversions and portfolio quality.
• Maintain consistent operational standards and service excellence.
• Ensure compliance with policy and lending procedures; support audit readiness.
• Promote a high-performance culture aligned with company values.

Requirements

• Full Grade 12 Certificate.
• Diploma or better in Sales, Marketing or Business Administration.
• Five years' experience in a sales management position, preferably in the microfinance industry.
• Proven leadership or senior management experience.
• Experience managing multi-branch or regional operations.
• Comfortable travelling across Northern, Luapula and Muchinga provinces.
