Civil Engineer (x2)

Sico Civils is seeking qualified candidates to fill two Civil Engineer (x2) positions based in Kasungu / Nalikule.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day civil engineering construction activities on-site, ensuring work follows engineering designs, specifications, and safety standards.
• Review and contribute to structural and civil design drawings, technical specifications, and method statements.
• Implement quality control protocols and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across project sites.
• Supervise site teams, subcontractors, and labourers, and manage the allocation of plant, machinery, and construction materials.
• Prepare technical reports, monitor project milestones, and liaise with consultants, clients, and senior management to ensure timely delivery.

Key Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration with the Malawi Institute of Engineers.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on civil engineering experience in infrastructure, roadworks, or heavy construction.
• Proficiency in engineering design software and strong project management capabilities.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with resilience and adaptability to dynamic site conditions.
