Coffee Roastery

Namikango Mission is a Church of Christ institution dedicated to empowering African communities through Christ-centred transformation. As part of its ministry work, the Mission operates a coffee roastery and is inviting applications for temporary Coffee Roastery assistant positions at its facility in Thondwe, Zomba.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Roast coffee using automated roasting equipment.
• Monitor the roasting process to ensure coffee meets the required standards.
• Operate a tablet to control the automated roasting machine.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining roasting equipment and the working area.
• Assist with weighing, handling and storing coffee beans.
• Follow workplace hygiene and safety procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
• Ability to use a smartphone or tablet.
• Basic numerical and communication skills.
• Honesty, discipline, attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Applicants must reside in the Thondwe area or its surrounding communities.
• Must demonstrate integrity and respect for the Christian values of Namikango Mission.
