Fleet Dispatcher

We are seeking a highly organised, responsible and proactive Fleet Dispatcher to coordinate truck dispatch, monitor fleet movements, and ensure the timely and efficient transportation of goods, based in Chambishi, Zambia.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily dispatch and allocation of trucks to assigned trips.
• Liaise with drivers, operations staff and clients regarding trip schedules and delivery requirements.
• Monitor vehicle movements and track trip progress to ensure timely deliveries.
• Ensure drivers have the necessary trip documents and authorisations before departure.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, trip sheets and vehicle movement reports.
• Report delays, breakdowns, route deviations and other operational challenges to management.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, road safety requirements and transport regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Diploma in Transport and Logistics, or a related field.
• Previous experience in fleet dispatching or transport operations is an added advantage.
• Good communication, coordination and record-keeping skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and work flexible hours when required.
