Manager – Communication & Consumer Education

Job Description

Reporting to the Registrar, the Manager – Communication & Consumer Education will manage and coordinate communications and consumer education to build and maintain a positive corporate image and raise awareness of pensions and insurance matters.

Specific Duties

• Supervise initiation and drafting of communication policies and strategies for effective communication between the Authority, stakeholders and public.
• Supervise media relations to promote positive coverage.
• Supervise building and maintenance of brand identity, visibility and reputation.
• Supervise design and implementation of consumer education programmes to raise pensions and insurance literacy.
• Supervise stakeholder partnerships to enhance collaboration on pensions and insurance matters.
• Supervise coordination of corporate events for stakeholder engagement and a positive corporate image.
• Supervise timely publication of pensions and insurance reports and educational materials on various platforms.
• Supervise receipt, review and escalation of complaints that have exhausted the complaint handling procedure to the relevant department.
• Manage preparation of budget inputs for resource mobilisation.
• Manage work plans and performance management implementation to enhance performance.
• Manage human, financial and other resources.

Requirements

• Full Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent with credit or better in Mathematics and English.
• Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Mass Communications or equivalent.
• Master's Degree in a related field.
• At least 7 years' relevant experience.
• Membership of a relevant professional institution.
• ZAQA certification for all qualifications.
