MARKETING ASSISTANT - LUSAKA

Job Purpose: The successful candidate will provide administrative and operational support to the Marketing Department by assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing campaigns, promotional activities, market research, and communication initiatives that enhance brand awareness and support business growth.

Key Outputs

• Assist in planning and implementing marketing campaigns and promotional activities.

• Coordinate campaign logistics and ensure timely execution.

• Monitor campaign progress and prepare performance reports.

• Assist in developing marketing content for brochures, newsletters, websites, and social media platforms.

• Ensure marketing materials are accurate, up to date, and aligned with brand guidelines.

• Support internal and external communication initiatives.

• Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.

• Compile and analyse marketing data and prepare reports for management.

• Maintain databases of customers, prospects, and market information.

• Support the organization of exhibitions, trade shows, product launches, and other marketing events.

• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and service providers.

• Prepare event materials and monitor event outcomes.

• Maintain marketing records, budgets, and filing systems.

• Process purchase requisitions and coordinate procurement of marketing materials.

• Schedule meetings and prepare presentations and reports.

• Liaise with internal departments and external agencies to ensure effective implementation of marketing activities.

• Respond to customer and stakeholder inquiries relating to marketing initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Full Grade 12 Certificate with good grades

• A University degree in Marketing / Business Administration or a related field. (ZAQA certified certificates)

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or customer engagement.

• Experience in digital marketing and social media management will be an added advantage

• Full member of Zambia Institute of Marketing or equivalent professional body

• Knowledge of marketing principles and practices.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Familiarity with graphic design & digital marketing tools is an added advantage (Canva, Illustrator, Photoshop, Hubspot, Sprout, Wix, Wordpress, Hootsuit).
